WORKSHOPS
Workshops serve as knowledge exchange platforms, by initiating dialogue among participants about current trends & practices. They promote networking & create new bonds. They also provide opportunities for self-assessment & personal skill development.

Smart Conservation 2.0
The workshop in Chennai, which took place from 21st to 24th August 2019, was aligned with the Madras Week, which celebrates the founding of the city of Chennai (erstwhile Madras), and promotes its rich heritage.
In this workshop, the participants were introduced to the concepts related to heritage and conservation using hands-on activities, discussions and critical thinking. The focus was primarily on the topics of heritage documentation, communication, values assessment, risk analysis and stakeholder engagement.
The contents were tailored according to the context and background of the participants, with examples also coming from facilitators’ own experiences.
A one day site visit to the World Heritage Site of Mahabalipuram was planned, where the participants learnt to carry out the climate change risk assessment.
